Work Completed at Utile, Inc.

Located in a former Army storehouse in South Boston, we provided Autodesk with a new workspace that organizes the open office around a signature “glowing box” wrapped in a 34-color gradient. The team focused on maximizing light and views through the deep floor plates and providing a variety of flexible working, collaboration, and meeting spaces. A series of glowing arches highlight the visual connection through the massive structural bays, and a forced perspective trompe l’oeil extends the perceived depth of the space while hosting a number of small lounge areas. Unusual materials are featured throughout the project as a nod to the company’s leadership in the AEC space, including foamed aluminum ceilings, translucent honeycomb core panels, and laminated plywood custom millwork.
